FIANLS~!

Sorry everyone for not posting for the past weeks. But I have been very busy with work and school~! This week is Finals Week, so there is lots to do for all my classes. But I shall post what I can~! Here is one for traditional illustration: take a fairy tale and create an image that to your own style. But it has to have a twist ( something different) and it can't not loose its character or content. Here is mine: little red riding hood as a super heroine vigilante now grown up seeks justice and revenge upon the wolf clan that has stolen everything from her as a child. RRH meets her mortal enemy in the dark dangerous woods. As she then engages into battle with him! Done with acrylics. I will post my other finals later as well. Everyone I will see you later~! Take care =)

Candles, Fruits and...Phantom of the Opera?

Hello everyone~! Sorry for the late blog...due to work being so hectic...retail and holidays should never go together. But here is some fun stuff~!
PS fun with candles and fruits, when I was painting this I was thinking something like a dungeon feeling of mystery. Dark suspends feeling, not like dramatic or anything like that. It was fun to paint in PS, but very hard since u have to switch back and forth between what u were doing on the Waccom and what was on the screen. I think I did an ok job, but i do need more practice though. Lol, it kind or matches my Phatom of the Opera poster. Maybe the candle and fruits are in the Phantom's dungeon lair.
BTW here is my painted poster for traditional illustration. Phantom of the Opera, thought it came out pretty nice. But I would like to paint this in PS and see how it comes out. But the photo doesn't do it justice. It looks way better in real life. Alright will post up my next D. Ill project later. Take Care~!

Why so BUSY?!

Sorry everyone for such a late blogging...but I have been so busy as of late. But if your wondering why I have been so busy as of late....
First off, I have been going over some of my old work and revamping it for the fun of it and in my sketch book. Like this one of my character Griever Knight, 2006 vs 2012! to the left is a 2006 photo copy of the original image. and to the right, is the new 2012 revamp version. looking back at my old work my drawing style has changed a lot in the past 6 years! not only that, but I noticed I don't have my own manga or drawing style. I kind of now draw what ever style that suites the image. and i guess from reading and looking at so many kinds of manga style I just pick some there and here. And added into my way of drawing. I know it is kind of bad that i don't have a set style....>_<
Next is another project I am working on for another class, it is a Phantom of the Opera poster sketch. Here is just the 2 concept sketch, but the one on the left was picked as the main idea. The final render is done and ready to be printed. It will be painted with acrylics, I will post an image of the finish work later.
Lastly I got one of my projects back from one of my classes, which is a media sampler. We tried different techniques to create a wide varieties of images. Starting from the top left: color pencil, acrylics transparent, heavy acrylics, paper cut, pencil, ink, ink with acrylics, and fabric with gauche. I think they all came out really nice.
So that is what I have been up to as of late with some many given class projects and all. The semester is ending soon, so there will be more to come. As time goes by hopefully I will be able to handle and take them all on!
